Getting Started

Your First Visit to Alloy Personal Training Colorado Springs, Explained

Every membership at Alloy Personal Training Colorado Springs begins with the same appointment: a Complimentary Starting Point Session. Over roughly an hour, you sit down with a coach to talk goals and health history, complete a movement assessment and an InBody body composition scan, and finish with a short workout matched to your current fitness. You walk out with a baseline, a clear recommendation, and no obligation to join.

If you have been circling the idea of personal training in Colorado Springs but hesitating at the front door, this is what is actually behind it.

Why does the first visit start with questions instead of exercise?

Because a workout designed before anyone understands your body is just a guess. The opening conversation covers what you want from training, what your health looks like, and what has worked or failed before. The movement assessment then shows your coach how your joints and muscles behave under real movement patterns. By the time you pick up a weight, the session has already been shaped around a knee that has opinions, a shoulder with a past, or a doctor's instruction that needs honoring.

What is the InBody scan like?

Underwhelming, in the best way. You stand on the device for about a minute while it estimates muscle mass, body fat percentage, and visceral fat. Nobody comments on the numbers; they simply become your starting line. Members repeat the InBody scan monthly, which is how progress at this studio gets tracked in data rather than vibes.

Worth saying plainly: you do not need to lose weight or get fitter before coming in. The scan meets you where you are. That is its entire job.

Who runs the session?

A professional coach, in a family-owned studio. Alloy Colorado Springs is owned by Logan Brodine, his wife Bostyn Brodine, and Dr. Brea Burger. Logan spent over ten years as a Human Performance Specialist with 10th Special Forces Group at Fort Carson before the family opened the Woodmen Road studio, and Head Coach Adila Gathers leads the floor alongside him. The membership skews 40 to 70 and up: professionals, parents, military families, and retirees from across Colorado Springs.

What happens after the workout?

A short, honest conversation. Your coach recommends a training frequency, explains membership options and pricing face to face, and answers whatever you ask. Some people join that day; others think it over. Both are normal outcomes, and nobody chases you to your car.

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear? Comfortable workout clothes and supportive shoes. Bring water.

Is the workout hard? It is deliberately modest. Its purpose is calibration, not exhaustion, and most people finish it pleasantly surprised.

Do I need any training experience? None. Coaching exists precisely so you do not have to arrive knowing what to do.

How soon could I start real sessions? Usually within the same week, at whatever frequency you and your coach agree on.
